These Terms & Conditions apply to all custom-designed jewellery projects undertaken by Guys Gold Ltd. By confirming a custom design or proceeding with payment, the Client accepts these T&Cs.
1. Design Approval & Sign-Off
• All custom design concepts, sketches, CAD models, and renderings must be approved in writing by the Client before production begins (by replying to this email).
• Approval must be provided via written reply to the final design email. This reply serves as the Client’s formal sign-off.
• Once approved, no further design changes can be made without incurring additional costs and delays.
2. Deposits & Payments
• A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required before any design work begins.
• The remaining balance is due before delivery or collection of the finished piece.
• All deposits cover design time, CAD work, consultations, and administrative costs.
3. Production Timeline
• Estimated timeline is 4-6 weeks but may vary based on design complexity, gemstone availability, and workshop scheduling.
• While every effort is made to meet expected deadlines, delays caused by external suppliers or unforeseen circumstances are not the responsibility of Guys Gold Ltd.
4. Gemstones & Materials
• Natural gemstones may contain inclusions and variations in colour, which are considered part of their beauty and uniqueness.
• All gemstone specifications will be disclosed to the Client before purchase.
• If the Client supplies their own gemstone or jewellery, the business is not responsible for any existing damage or structural weakness.
• Working with Client-supplied gemstones is done entirely at the Client’s risk.
5. Client-Supplied Designs or Inspiration
• Designs inspired by images supplied by the Client will be used only as reference.
• Guys Gold does not copy other jewellers’ proprietary designs.
• Final designs will always include original elements and intellectual creativity.
6. Sizing & Adjustments
• Ring sizing is the Client’s responsibility. Guys Gold is not liable for incorrect sizes provided by the Client.
One complimentary ring resize is included within 60 days of delivery, provided the design allows for safe resizing.
• Additional resizing, or resizing outside this timeframe, may incur fees.
• Certain designs (e.g., full eternity bands) cannot be resized.
7. Cancellations & Refunds
• Custom work is made specifically for the Client and is therefore non-refundable.
• Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances.
• If the project is cancelled after design sign-off or gemstone purchase, the Client remains responsible for all associated costs.
8. Warranty & Repairs
• All Guys Gold pieces are covered by a 24 month manufacturing warranty.
• Warranty does not cover damage caused by trauma, misuse, exposure to chemicals, or general wear and tear.
• Repairs outside of warranty will be quoted on a case-by-case basis.
9. Intellectual Property
• All design concepts, drawings, CAD models, and renderings remain the intellectual property of the business.
• These may not be used, copied, shared or reproduced without written consent.
10. Photographs & Marketing
• Guys Gold may photograph the finished piece for marketing and portfolio use unless the Client requests otherwise in writing before completion.
11. Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to:
• Review all designs carefully before sign-off.
• Provide accurate ring sizes and personal information.
• Communicate promptly to avoid delays.
• Understand that handmade jewellery may have slight variations that do not affect quality.
